How About A Little R & R? ‘Republican Rhetoric’
Posted by Michelle Moquin on March 3rd, 2009
Good morning.
Oh, what a bevy of comments coming in regarding Limbaugh. I just don’t get him at all. I mean I do, but I don’t if you get my drift. I think I need to start listening to his show more now that CNN’s D.L. Hughley referred to radio host as “the de facto leader of the Republican party.” Ha! Is he serious? Pissed off Steele – the ‘real’ de facto. At least that’s what he claimed. Then on his show yesterday Limbaugh fired back calling the RNC and Michael Steele “so-called Republicans” and saying that they “need a little leadership.” Well, I can’t disagree with him there. Limbaugh may just call himself an ‘entertainer’ but there is a reason that 20 million people tune into his show because of his great song and dance routine. Not my words, his. He’s got a point.
On a side note, I think him and Elisabeth Hasselbeck would make a great team. This dodo of a woman who appeared on ‘Survivor’ and has had a spot on ‘The View’ for in my mind, way too long, needs to move on. She is an embarrassment to women. She doesn’t understand why it is wrong to want a system to fail that you don’t believe in; that you vehemently oppose. Meaning Obama and his plan. Oh boo hoo; she’s such a whiner. Only words to hide her racism. And…if this were the Bush years she would be called unpatriotic. her words to me are just a bunch of balloon juice.
And speaking of…Hasselbeck also thinks Iraq is a success. “We’re succeeding in Iraq, Iraq is totally at peace now.” Helloo…read much? Less thank two weeks ago, a tent filled with women and children resting after a long trek to a Shiite holy city south of Baghdad was ambushed. When the attack was over, 40 people were killed and 80 were wounded. Oh yeah they’re at ‘peace’. Hey, maybe she needs to tag team with Palin again. Between Palin’s ‘you betcha’ winks and Hasselbeck’s, ‘trying to look intelligent, but clearly doesn’t have a clue’ face, SNL could have a field day.

Suz: You go ahead and stand behind your man. My place is beside him as an equal.
DNSR!: The Tamil Tiger (LTTE) supporters claim that the LTTE are ‘freedom fighters’. What do the supporters say when they are confronted with the question: Why are they using children for canon fodder? Why are they forcing families to give up at least one child to fight or else they all face death? This does not sound like something a ‘freedom fighter’ would request nor something a supporter of them would support.
Marni: Welcome to Earth! Ah…your naiveté is so refreshing. A first time visitor to the planet Earth. I am excited to hear more about your ‘firsts’ on this earth. There is plenty to do and experiencing a man is only one….a good one, but only one.
In regards to humans eating humans: Cannilbalism is just not a common practice here. Although there are some people out there that I think need to be chewed on. :)
Humans will harm those that they don’t understand so it is best to lay low and master ‘being human’. The girls will help you. As far as you staying more than 30 days, we’ll just have to see. Enjoy yourself and check back in.
I really need to go now.
Gratefully your blog host,

The Republican Party will rise again. As soon as the nigger fails good white people will rally around the true Party of the people.

Every time I think Big Pharma has hit a moral rock-bottom, they seem to get out their shovels and keep digging.
I’m somewhere between disgusted and furious after learning that Forest Laboratories is
being accused of marketing antidepressants that not approved for children, and
paying doctors kickbacks to prescribe them.
According to a complaint filed by the U.S. Department of Justice, Forest tried to use
financial kickbacks, along with expensive meals and entertainment, to coax doctors into
prescribing Celexa and Lexapro for kids. Of course, the drugs were never approved for
pediatric use – in fact, Celexa was rejected after a study found that kids who took it were more likely to commit suicide.
So let me say this even more directly – Forest allegedly tried to bribe doctors to prescribe an unapproved drug that could increase the chance that your children or grandchildren would try to kill themselves. If this isn’t a stomach-turning moral low, I really don’t know what is.
Fortunately, a couple of brave whistleblowers came forward and revealed the whole
vulgar practice. My guess is this is all going to end with one big fine… but if the Justice
Department wants to send some of these folks to jail, that would be just fine with me.
And, frankly, it would send a message that Big Pharma desperately needs to hear.

Rush is the measure of the REPUBLICAN FAILURE.
They succeed at failure, yet again!
March 4th, 2009 at 4:50 am
Michelle, I am a true Christian hence I am proud to stand behind my man. I am a lawyer who practices in a very large firm. We defend the erosion of the constitution pro bono whenever we see the white man losing his rights to your beloved OTWs.
Christian women know that God made man to be his example on earth. Woman was made for the rib of man to be his assistant.
Rush has much more class than many of the posters I’ve read here. It’s so easy for you to point the finger the other direction but never at all speak up about any of the negativness on the Liberal sidelines. Rush is a patriot and he loves his country. Put the kool aid down, turn the cartoons off , turn Rush on and you may actually learn something.
March 4th, 2009 at 4:53 am
Do you actually think the creators of our Constitution would agree with the likes of Obama, Reid, and Pelosi? You actually believe Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, or James Madison would side with liberals over conservatives?
March 4th, 2009 at 4:56 am
“Rush is a patriot and he loves his country”! Excuse me, hoping that President Obama fails in his efforts to straigthen up the mess that Bush and Co left after years of mismanagement does NOT sound patriotic to me nor a sign that he loves his country. Obviously you and I have a different conception about patriotism.
March 4th, 2009 at 4:58 am
That’s the beauty of the Constitution, it doesn’t adhere to one “side.” If it did, there would still be a lot of crap going on in this nation that would impede the Constitution’s promise of forming a more perfect union.
It’s not about sides, it’s about doing the right thing and figuring out what that is and how to implement it. Those men (Adams, Jefferson, Madison) lived in a different time. Their issues are unique to their times just as these times are unique to ours. The Constitution evolves as our country does, all for the betterment of EVERYONE.
March 4th, 2009 at 5:00 am
Anon-7, Yoiu might try reading the Federalist Papers (written by those early communists Madison, Hamilton, etc.). You might be suprised that from George Washington ( that early Marxist-Leninist who started this country on its downward slide) had to say about foreign entanglements. But then again, as a follower of Rush you might read Adam Smith, while he is not American he does talk about economics.
March 4th, 2009 at 5:02 am
I love how the only thing that can be criticized in a 90 minute speech is the fact that Rush made a small mistake. Not to mention it came from a speech that was not written in which he was very passionate towards this country, expressing views that benefit everyone including the people on this blog.
I am sure on any given day if you asked rush which speech “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” came from, he could answer it as fast as if you asked his own name. What is it with the lack of cutting people slack these days who make mistakes, liberal or conservative. Everyone talks about by-partisanship so much yet they can’t wait to bash someone over some dumb topic. True by-partisanship is a unity that starts with understanding and letting little things role off your shoulders with the intent to prevent tiresome squabbling.

Man do I dislike this FAT, Obnoxious, Self-Serving, Self-Loving A**! Why the hell can’t we get this jerk off the air and put someone with the insight to be able to get past His Hatred, Bigotry, and Plan Stupidity so that an educated discussion of what matters could take place.
The Republics are digging their graves even deeper leaving this guy to be their “Mouth Piece”. We have seen and heard enough hate to last us a lifetime and I have heard the Republican side defend that behavior ad-nausea. I do NOT know anyone that would want to declare themselves Republican today.
March 4th, 2009 at 6:09 am
HEY MICHAEL STEELE, DOES THE WORD “TOKEN” RING A BELL? The whole African-American community is laughing at you.
March 4th, 2009 at 6:12 am
Steele bends over in front of Rush and asks, “Will it hurt less if I grab hold of my ankles?”
March 4th, 2009 at 6:13 am
I watched what Steele said and the media took it way out of context. All Steele said is he “is not the leader, but an entertainer”….. the same way someone like Rachel Maddow, or Chris Mathews is. They support the Democrat party and speak on their behalf, but theyare not considered the leaders. The CNN interviewer put the words into Steele’s mouth. But at least more people care about this then the stock market crashing and Obama really helping things out. I’d love a job from te stimulus, unfortunately I wasn’t trained in construction. And I would never consider myself qualified; I went to school for audio engineering…is he providing any jobs in that field?
March 4th, 2009 at 6:45 am
Wow, Anon15 – first Steele said HE was the de-facto leader of the Republican party on D.L. Hugley’s show on Sunday. Then Rush on Monday, on his radio show, went after Steele. Then Steele made is “humble” apology.
Next, just because you don’t have construction experience, doesn’t mean $’s for an Audio Engineer won’t be generated. You see, when big employment sectors get stimulus $’s, the people who have those jobs then start SPENDING them. So indirectly, your sector will be affected eventually.
BTW – don’t discount any government need for Audio Engineers. Look up on the gov web site and check out all of the departments. I bet the Army Corp. of Engineers have something and they are getting direct input of $’s from the stimulus.
Get out and do some leg work. I bet you find something! Good luck!

CIA Looking For New Recruits On Guam
Written by Nick Delgado, Pacific News Center – Guam, Saipan, CNMI, Asia-Pacific

Guam
Guam – Officers with the Central Intelligence Agency are on island giving an employer presentation to students at the University of Guam…But the agents are still trying to stay undercover while looking for potential hires.
The CIA is looking for a variety of diverse men and woman here on Guam. Lea Beth Naholawaa is the University of Guam’s career placement officer and says the lesson being taught by the CIA is full of surprises.
PNC news spoke with one of the agents, however he admitted that he was undercover and could not do an interview or go on camera. He denied any footage from being shot inside the classroom where he conducted the presentation. The agent added that its for the safety of both his officers and the people that are interested in joining the CIA. All he would say is that its full of great opportunities.
The agency is specfically looking for people who can contribute to the national security mission of the United States.
Naholawaa adds the CIA is already planning a second visit to recruit more people from Guam.
The CIA concluded its public presentation this afternoon. To find out more how you can join, log onto cia.gov.

While nationalization of banks may be what we end up with, what I think we need to do is simple: strongly regulate the banks/other corporations. Our first bailouts barely had any strings attached to the money we were sending these banks Sure, capitalism has its benefits, but we have to make sure we are watching these companies, so things like the housing bubble doesn’t occur. Again, there are certainly advantages to the free market, but we gotta regulate these companies, force them to actually look up someone’s credit before they hand people a loan, give the car companies tax incentives to make fuel efficient cars and invest in new technologies.

Government is only as good as the people we send to represent us…The only time the Republicans seem to be right is when they are running the government. When they are not, then they scream government is your biggest night mare.
