Chris Rock On Roman Polanski
Posted by Michelle Moquin on October 7th, 2009
I’m taking a break on my ‘sustainable series’ today because my attention got grabbed again over the hot topic of Polanski. In case you didn’t see Chris Rock on Jay Leno’s new show last Thursday night, click here for the clip. Unfortunately I couldn’t copy it from the linked site. So I searched youtube. I found it, but when I tried to play it, this notice came up: “This video is not available in your country due to copyright restrictions.” Ok, this video was shot in our country but now we can’t copy it and view it – crazy. Anyway, it’s a short clip and worth the watch – Right on Chris!
Here’s the article too if you’re interested:
Last night on Jay Leno‘s new show, Chris Rock put on blast some of the attitudes surrounding director Roman Polanski, ripping into the rhetorical dances being done around what Polanski actually did – which was rape a thirteen year old.
The conversation around Roman Polanski has been a hard one to follow. Part of it is annoyance – it is unnerving to see how certain celebrities fall under scrutiny for consorting with minors and others can make it seem like an unfortunate lapse in judgment.
Jill at Feministe points out how many actors seem to feel that this is just peachy:
“What I don’t understand is why so many people are signing this petition. On the most basic level, it’s especially disappointing when the signatories are people whose work I like and respect. Pedro Almodovar. Wes Anderson. Natalie Portman. Kristin Scott Thomas. Darren Aronofsky. Diane von Furstenberg. Julian Schnabel. Martin Scorsese. Tilda Swinton. Gael Garcia Bernal (there goes my biggest crush). Penelope Cruz.”
But they are, after all, just entertainers. It’s absolutely heartbreaking when the support comes from someone who should really know better – like the founder of the Feminist Majority Foundation.
“My personal thoughts are let the guy go,” said Peg Yorkin, founder of the Feminist Majority Foundation. “It’s bad a person was raped. But that was so many years ago. The guy has been through so much in his life. It’s crazy to arrest him now. Let it go. The government could spend its money on other things.”
Lauren over at Feministe brings her experience into the narratives around Polanski, noting:
“Rape is not the only assault. Around rape is a large segment of the population that questions the victim, a culture that looks down on victims for allowing themselves to be victimized, or keep them victimized, questions about the victim’s credibility, questions about the legacy of rape and how bad it is, because how bad is rape really? Rape, because various levels and forms of sexual assault are systemic and pervasive across all societies, exists alongside one’s experiences of unwanted touching, wanted touching, sexual objectification, sexual desire, sexual harassment, incest, love, leering eyes, cat calls, roaming hands, consent, confusion, tits, vagina, rectum, penis, mouth, rape and not-rape, all of it loaded, all of it veering at rape’s ugly legacy, co-mingling, the legacy that tells us to be more careful, to dress more conservatively, to BE BETTER AT BEING VULNERABLE, or BE MORE POWERFUL, or BE MORE FEARFUL, or GET OVER IT ALREADY. Rape leaks into healthy, consensual experiences. It lingers. It pervades.”
Roman Polanski initiated sexual contact with someone he knew to be underage, persisted after she said no, pled guilty to unlawful intercourse with a minor, and fled the country when he feared he would go to prison anyway.
What’s so disturbing about the articles isn’t that people are claiming our legal system is flawed. It’s that people – be they in Hollywood or your average citizen – are grasping for all kinds of ways to twist this back on the victim and to exonerate Polanski by denying this crime ever happened. So you want him to walk on a technicality? Fine. Admit that! But why are we denying that the rape ever happened?
It did happen.
Polanski admitted as such. So are people so invested in the idea that if we pretend it isn’t “rape-rape” then the matter will be resolved?
As Rock says at the end of the clip: “The United States, we want to capture Osama Bin Laden, and murder him. We don’t want to rape him – that would be barbaric!”
Rape is a barbaric act.
And I’m amazed it took a comedian to say it outright.
-Latoya Peterson
Can you believe that the head of the Feminist Majority Foundation, Peg Yorkin, says to ‘let it go.’? I am shocked by the amount of women who have been supporting Polanski. What is wrong with these women? I am so disappointed.
On an up note, don’t you just love Rock’s final words though?!

Hey Zen Lill: Time has not been expanding much for me either, and I have barely had any time to exercise at all. Getting this details of this new venture together has been taking up a lot of time but then love is in the details and I am such a detailed person. By the way, I got your joke – too funny!
Mai Ling: How does an earthling girl get discovered with a commander like Madaline commanding her? Believe me, as Al so appropriately pointed out, you were once a ‘primitive’, and obviously not too long ago. It’s clear, you, or whoever got discovered, haven’t mastered surreptitiousness.
Remember this, if you decide to retaliate with an earthquake, it will most likely be the less fortunate of the ‘primitives’ who will undoubtedly suffer, not the ones behind shooting the rockets this Friday. And the ones behind the rockets don’t necessarily care about the livelihood of the less fortunate ‘primitives’.
My readers and I quite aware that our weather can be controlled, as we have been informed many times. And I am sure that the ‘primitives’ that you intend to teach are aware too. This is not the first time humans have tried to make a statement, and we know it won’t be the last. And you are well aware, as I am, that if push ever came to shove, we would be as easy to exterminate as a human foot on an ant hill: completely defenseless.
Know this, I am tired of the destruction on our planet. The economic climate in this world is fucked up enough, and another disastrous earthquake leaving more of the ‘primitives’ homeless and jobless, will not make this Girl happy.
Earth is a cattle planet to say the least, but it is still our home. You know Earth…the place you used to live. Try not to be an insensitive, expanded brain, no-longer-a-primitive-myself, earthling.
Mai Ling, what can I say? You got me on a morning where I have little tolerance for ego-talk. Try to be safe out there and not get into any trouble.
Cecil: You’re only a creep if you excepted the blow job. She was probably testing you to see if you really loved her by offering herself to you, or if you were just like any other man. If you really loved her you would’ve set her up out of the care and love for her, and nothing more. Did you, or were just like any other man who wanted to get a good blow job? And shame on your brother for being a man who shares the intimate details of his relationship.
Al: I thought your questions and comments in regards to ZL’s joke were even funnier than the joke.
Doug: There is no reasoning with women like Laura. She accepts her place in society as second class and kisses ass to those white men that control her. She would be a good match for George.

Sir
Are we in miscommunication?
I did not mean to forget that I was once a human. I thought you would appreciate that we would be defending that location since it is of particular interest to you. Madaline informed us that we should protect it as it was your desire.
We would of course steer clear of the area close to you. We could cause a malfunction of their attempts with or without consequences as to your particulars. We have lost channels previously used so this is our only option for orders.
We could stage a spectacular event in the skies above earth with or without earthly ramifications. I will re examine my feeling towards humans as ordered.

Relief Efforts Following Natural Disasters in American Samoa and the Philippines
October 5, 2009
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the survivors who lost loved ones and suffered devastation in the recent natural disasters in the Pacific. The Congress, and indeed the entire United States government, stands by ready to assist the victims of these natural disasters.
People are beginning to receive the assistance they need thanks to the tireless efforts of the first-responders and relief workers who have provided aid and comfort to those harmed by these recent events. It is in times like this that we all must join together to help those in need, and I am appreciative of the many in San Francisco and the Bay Area who have joined in these critical relief efforts.
Typhoon & Flooding in the Philippines
Following Typhoon Ketsana, known in the Philippines as Typhoon Ondoy, disastrous flooding killed more than 250 Filipinos and left hundreds of thousands displaced. The State Department will coordinate United States disaster assistance efforts, and the Homeland Security Department’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has already deployed emergency response teams to affected areas to render assistance.
Inquiries concerning U.S. citizens living or traveling in the Philippines should be referred to the U.S. State Department at 1-888-407-4747 or 202-647-5225, or online at http://www.state.gov.
For information about ongoing rescue efforts and lists of casualties please visit the Filipino National Disaster Coordinating Council web site at http://www.ndcc.gov.ph, or the Philippine National Red Cross website at http://www.redcross.org.ph.
You can also learn more about relief efforts being organized in San Francisco.
Earthquake & Tsunami in American Samoa
Last Tuesday, a massive earthquake of 8.8 magnitude struck near the American territory of American Samoa, causing four tsunamis to hit the Pacific islands, leaving a death toll of almost 200.
President Obama issued a major disaster declaration, and FEMA, along with the United States Coast Guard, the American Red Cross, and the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security, are engaged in disaster relief efforts. Relief is being coordinated by FEMA’s Region IX, which is based in the Bay Area.
For families or friends concerned about locating loved ones, please visit FEMA’s National Emergency Family Registry and Locator System at https://asd.fema.gov/inter/nefrls/home.htm, or by calling 1-800-588-9822. For more information regarding relief efforts, please visit the Red Cross website.

I hope most of you who read Michelle’s column are not tired of politics. Those that wish to manipulate and control us NEVER get tired of politics. It is their vehicle for taking them to their place of total control of the planet.
I live in Israel and it is a daily struggle to keep the politics of the day before the people. We are so tired of the day to day struggle to live through the day. If no one in my family has been killed or maimed by an attack from the muslims I am happy.
I know that the muslim families feel the same way about us. If they or theirs haven’t been humiliated or abused by an israelite they may feel the day was good for them.
Politics, the dreaded word makes the decisions as to how all of us live. In Israel, the West Bank and yes even in America. That’s why I hope that this swearing off politics is only momentary for those of you in America who can keep the dream of Obama alive.
Even here in Israel we are believing in his message of CHANGE. May God allow it to come in time to save lives I love and those that are loved by others

Guam Celebrates The Arts To Preserve Local Culture
Guam – On October1, Governor Felix Camacho proclaimed October, “Guam Arts and Humanities Month.” This year’s theme is “Honoring our Masters of Chamorro Tradition.”
Patrick Bamba, Executive Director of the Guam Council on the Arts and Humanities Agency explained, “We are reviving a master’s program from 1996.”
Many of Guam’s cultural masters of Chamorro traditions have passed on, some of them have left behind apprentices to pass down their customs, but we want to give others an opportunity to learn the crafts,” Bamba continued.
Some cultural traditions include weaving, wood, bone and shell carving and Chamorro blacksmithing.
“For the last 25 years, there has been this cultural renaissance. Our cultural tradition practitioners are aging. It is long overdue to honor them and to revive their crafts,” Bamba said.
An example of how the masters program is important to keeping Guam’s local culture alive is evident in the case of Frank Rabon, Master of Chamorro Cultural Dance. “Chamorro dance has only been around for about 25 years Frank Rabon, master of Chamorro dance, has directly influenced about 700 Chamorro cultural dancers throughout the past 25 years,” Bamba added.
“Currently, Rabon oversees about 12 dance groups including 2 in California. The leaders of each dance group have generated new groups of their own and encourage their students to start groups of their own,” Bamba said.
“Another example is Jack Lujan, a Chamorro blacksmith who has had numerous apprentices and also has a female apprentice, the first Chamorro blacksmith,” he said.
The Masters program is important as it invites all of Guam’s people to take advantage of learning more about cultural traditions. “Violet Castro, a Master weaver, has an apprentice who is a military dependant,” Bamba said.

GOUT COMES BACK: HIGH-FAT DIET CAUSES PAINFUL ARTHRITIC CONDITION
Brought on by overindulging in food and drink, gout was once considered a disease of the monied classes, but nowadays those of a lower socioeconomic status may be more likely to have the disease, due to overindulgence in fast food and sugary drinks. Research suggests that the number of cases here in the US doubled from 1977 to 1997, with an estimated six million Americans suffering this painful, debilitating form of arthritis.
Gout is characterized by sudden, severe attacks of pain, redness and tenderness typically affecting the big toe, but potentially other joints, such as the ankles, knees, fingers, wrists and elbows as well. Gout incidence is more common in men, although women are increasingly susceptible after menopause. I was told by Hyon Choi, MD, DrPh, professor of medicine at Boston University and an expert on the topic, however, that the reason behind the resurgence of gout is obesity and certain western lifestyle factors. Eating the kinds of foods that lead to being overweight, including red meat, particularly in combination with sugary soda, is the key factor behind this trend, Dr. Choi told me, noting that gout is also a red flag for metabolic syndrome. Sixty percent of those with gout also have metabolic syndrome, he said, adding that “it’s not just about having gout, it is also about associated serious medical conditions in the future.”
ALL ABOUT GOUT
Gout develops from a buildup of uric acid, a chemical in the blood formed by the breakdown of purines, which are found in meat, seafood and in some beers. Consuming lots of these means that your body has more purines to break down — and more purines lead to higher levels of uric acid. This can cause the formation of uric acid crystals (a solid form of uric acid), which accumulate in the joints, causing inflammation, swelling and pain.
The good news is that changing your ways usually reduces symptoms and also can prevent recurrence of gout altogether. Step one, of course, is to lose weight. “Being overweight is the most important of all the risk factors,” emphasizes Dr. Choi. “Increased fat cell mass increases uric acid production, decreases uric acid excretion and increases risk for metabolic syndrome.” In addition to maintaining a healthy weight, gout sufferers should limit alcohol and sugary drinks and reduce consumption of purine-rich foods, such as animal proteins.
In addition to altering your diet, natural remedies include…
If you’re a coffee drinker, keep at it. Both regular and decaffeinated coffees have been found helpful in lowering uric acid levels and reducing risk for gout. Experts believe an antioxidant in coffee decreases insulin sensitivity, and insulin resistance is strongly linked to elevated uric acid levels. Drinking coffee black is best. (See Daily Health News, December 27, 2007, for more on the health benefits of coffee.)
Take vitamin C. Supplements of 500 mg to 1,500 mg increase the excretion of uric acid. Research reported in the March 9, 2009, issue of Archives of Internal Medicine found that people who took vitamin C supplements reduced their risk of developing gout by up to 45%.
Choose low-fat dairy products. Research has suggested that choosing low-fat dairy products, such as skim milk and low-fat yogurt, over the higher-fat products increases uric acid secretion.
Eat cherries or drink cherry juice concentrate, both of which seem to help reduce symptoms for some people.
Soothe sore joints with a comfrey poultice application, which has been used since 400 BC. (Grind comfrey leaves and mix with distilled water to apply as a paste, then wrap the afflicted area in gauze or an ace bandage.)
PHARMACEUTICAL TREATMENTS
Though lifestyle changes are always helpful, they may not be able to control severe cases of gout, Dr. Choi told me. So, predictably enough, drug manufacturers have seen opportunity in the rising numbers, leading to the first new drug for the condition in 40 years. Until now, the medication most commonly used to ease discomfort and prevent future gout attacks has been zyloprim (Allopurinol), taken orally, which works by reducing the uric acid level in the blood. Dr. Choi told me that it is prescribed by many doctors but only about half of patients get “satisfactory relief” from the drug.
Earlier this year, the Food and Drug Administration approved another oral drug treatment, called febuxostat (Uloric), which works similarly to Allopurinol but seems to be more effective in lowering uric acid levels. Uloric is also a viable alternative for the 2% of patients who are allergic to Allopurinol.
Another new drug, Krystexxa, awaiting FDA approval, also lowers the level of uric acid but is administered by intravenous infusion every few weeks. It seems to work faster than Allopurinol and Uloric, but it is much more expensive.
Finally, there is some promising new research coming out of Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions that indicates a gene variant may be a factor for about 10% of gout patients. Researchers believe the mutated gene can cause insufficient excretion of uric acid. They hope to target the gene with a drug that makes excretion faster and more efficient, though that will be years away.

What You Need to Know Now About Swine Flu
Dr. Stephen Sinatra is a practicing cardiologist with an integrative approach to health and healing. Click here to learn more.
Dr. Sinatra is also the author of the monthly newsletter Heart, Health & Nutrition, which includes his best advice on heart health, diet and nutrition, exercise, and much more.
Dear Bill,
Lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about the swine flu—and with good reason. Since the H1N1 strain of swine flu emerged last spring, there have been 162,000 confirmed cases spanning 168 countries. Swine flu has been blamed for 1,154 deaths, including 436 here in the U.S. Most upsetting has been the vulnerability of children.
Now that fall’s arrived, there have been concerns about a second wave of swine flu. Not surprisingly, many of my family members, friends, and patients have asked me how big the threat really is—and what they can do to protect themselves. So I thought I would devote this health update to what you need to know about the swine flu.
How Worried Should You Be?
The first thing to remember is that this is swine flu (H1N1), not bird flu (H5N1)—and may not present the widespread threat that is feared. Only time will tell. The real fear is that this isn’t like a regular flu—where the very old, very young, and chronically ill are most at risk.
Instead, the H1N1 flu has been infecting school-aged children, adolescents, and young adults in their twenties, thirties, and forties. The reason is that older adults may have been previously exposed to strains similar to H1N1 and may have relative immunity to this strain…So, how can you protect yourself?
Prevention Remains Your Best Defense
The first thing you want to do is follow the same basic flu prevention techniques that you would during the regular cold and flu season. Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly, especially if you’ve been around someone who is sick or you’ve visited a public place.
As for public exposure during times of epidemics, use your common sense. For example, in Connecticut our Archdiocese has just announced that until further notice the practice of shaking hands for the sign of peace, and the drinking of communion wine from a common chalice, have been suspended.
You also want to eat a consistently nutritious diet. Fruits and vegetables, which are rich in antioxidants, are especially important. You also want to watch your intake of sugars, since high-glycolic carbohydrates and sweets weaken the immune system, as will alcohol.
Bolster Your Immune System so It’s in Peak Shape
Our immune systems are being challenged by our environment every day. We’re bombarded with toxic air pollutants, wireless electromagnetic fields, insecticides, pesticides, and heavy metals (especially in car exhaust) on a day-to-day basis. A strong immune system continues to be your best defense against any acute illness, including the swine flu.
To keep your immune system in peak shape, there are several nutritional supplements you can take:
Licorice Root Extract: Licorice root supports the adrenal glands and fights inflammation in the lungs. Star anise, which is in the licorice family, is an herbal plant that’s used in the flu medication Tamiflu. This may explain Tamiflu’s antiviral properties. But what’s important is that unlike Tamiflu—which should primarily be given to young adults only if they’re infected with H1N1 as it can cause psychological side effects—licorice root is perfectly safe. It’s sold in liquid form. I recommend taking 20 drops (using the dropper found in the bottle) under the tongue twice a day. If you do come down with the flu, I recommend upping the dose to 25 drops twice a day, for one to two weeks. NOTE: If you have high blood pressure, use licorice root extract only on a very short-term basis, one to two weeks at most. With prolonged use, licorice root can cause blood pressure to rise. If you have a home blood pressure monitor, keep a close eye on your readings.
N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC): This important amino acid is the precursor to glutathione, which is your body’s most potent antioxidant. It also helps to support your liver, and helps remove toxins from your body. Medical research has shown that taking 1,000 mg of NAC daily helps to get rid of flu-like illnesses, and shortens their duration.
Vitamin C: I recommend taking up to 5,000 mg of vitamin C a day, in divided doses, to help fight infection. Just be aware that this much vitamin C can cause diarrhea. If this happens to you, reduce the dosage to the highest amount you can tolerate.
What Should You Do if You Begin to Feel Ill?
Symptoms of the H1N1 swine flu virus include fever, a sore throat, body aches, headaches, chills, fatigue, and congestion. Many people also reported diarrhea and vomiting. In children you should also look for changes in behavior, rapid breathing, and irritability.
If you or your children have any of these symptoms, you want to take action immediately. Flu viruses wreak havoc, and even cause death, due to what I call the ?cytokine storm? they create in the body. Cytokines are powerful inflammatory mediators that work hard to douse the fires of inflammation. But in that aggressive, protective process triggered by the flu, cytokines can become very toxic to the cells.
To resist and quell the cytokine storm, I’ve developed a ?trifecta punch? you should use if you’re coming down with any flu:
Make Your White Blood Cells More Aggressive With Selenium: You need selenium to make glutathione, your body’s most potent natural antioxidant. Plus, selenium has a positive impact on cardiomyopathy. Years ago, Keshan disease was causing cardiomyopathy in adults and children in China, due to a selenium deficiency that weakened their heart muscles. When patients were given selenium, it increased the strength of their white blood cells—to get rid of the infection that caused cardiomyopathy. That’s why I recommend 200 mcg of selenium a day to prevent and treat infections.
Eliminate Replication of the Virus With Resveratrol: This powerful antioxidant, which is found most abundantly in red grape skins, helps to prevent the flu by making it tougher for flu cells to divide and replicate themselves. For flu treatment, I recommend taking 200 mg of resveratrol daily. Elderberry, which is an herb that can be found in any health food store, also has properties similar to resveratrol, and is very effective against flu. It’s a great substitute if you have trouble finding resveratrol. Take one teaspoon twice a day, and check the bottle for directions as concentrations of this liquid can vary.
Protect Your Body From Powerful Toxic Byproducts of Viral Die-Off With Quercetin: This powerful polyphenol, which is found in fruits and vegetables, is very similar to resveratrol in its chemical structure. It helps to protect the lung tissues from free radicals, and helps to prevent cytokine storms, which are the inflammatory mediators that can overwhelm healthy lung tissue due to the flu. I recommend taking 1,000–1,500 mg of quercetin twice daily.
Most importantly seek medical help if symptoms progress, especially if you have shortness of breath. This is one time that you shouldn’t try to go it alone. The sooner you are evaluated by a doctor, the better your chances of having a short illness and full recovery.
Finally, Keep a Positive Mindset
I can’t stress enough how important it is to avoid undue stress and have positive intention as we weather this storm. By that, I mean telling yourself that you’re not going to become sick and then trusting that you—and your immune system—are up to the challenge.
It’s also important to remember that we’ve seen swine flu before and it does not carry the mortality and morbidity of other previous flus, such as the epidemic of 1918. The swine flu virus can be checked, and it’s not nearly as horrific as the Asian bird flu virus (H5N1), which I’ve written about in Heart, Health & Nutrition in the past.
I’m constantly staying abreast of the swine flu threat and how to protect oneself—and will update you as more information unfolds.
To Your Health,
Stephen Sinatra, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.C.N.

I am much afraid that the American people is not ready for the changes that needs to be made in order to improve the life of its people. It is very disturbing to see the way the opposition is opposing.
It is clear that they are not opposing with the interest of the people in mind, but with the special interest in mind. You see, reason is what make us superior to other animals, like a snake, or even a hyena. A dysfunctional mind, though, can make us worse than a snake, a hyena, or even Bill Kristol. So, let us see how things evolve, but let us be very skeptical.

Every thing is easier said than done. Like the war on drugs, it’s much like reaping in the wind. Lots of semantics, but minimal results. The downfall of the president is trying to please Romans and Greeks and that is not possible.
The Bible says it, but the president doesn’t know it or just ignores it, trying to be the first one in succeeding, but what he actually does, it’s bringing to life the definition of madness a la Einstein, which is doing the same over and over and expecting different results.
It’s time to spend some of the political capital that you, Mr president, has thanks to voters, but as it is always the case with politicians, once elected, they all forget their promises and in Mr Obama’s case, he became another Bush.
The question here is who is going to sacrifice what for the good of the world, when in most countries it is Rome burning. Talk is cheap and politicians is the only thing they know. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket, I see another economical tsunami coming.
October 7th, 2009 at 11:52 am
I really don’t get the grip on why you Americans ever impeached and trialed the Bush-mare Governmentship, that regime apparently left this Government with investors pleading for help and supported banks to rescue the pieces of whats left of trust to corporate entities.
He fooled the whole world on false ground and spent astronomically amounts on war based on falsehood . I wish you all the best on an anarchist-.libertarian progressive future. Europeans will support that effort.
And why should a European bother or interfere in an American debacy? Because it’s the same over here, and Europe share a wide confidence on not only the Obama reign, but also the most free people and Constitution on earth.
?The EU parliament last night clubbed down the law providing Net-neutrality, mostly forwarded by former Soviet-satelites who still has autocratic beauraucrats running the old Party book in exchange for Euros in Brussel..freedom is a tortured mistress
October 7th, 2009 at 11:54 am
You conservatives spent us into this debt crash, now you complain about the cost to clean it up.
Same old bankrupt the democracy till you can drowned it in a tub.
We are at war. The USA spend more on war that the rest of the world combined. Just like in 1943, that requires are huge federal expenditure.
We gave 24T$ to the banksters you conservative unleashed on the world.
October 7th, 2009 at 11:57 am
President Obama is showing us that with our Government structure we really don’t need a President. He throws out the problem and leaves it to the Congress to take care of it. Interestingly, issues due take care of themselves Too far Left then people vote right, too far right they vote left. So why pay $400,000 for a figure head and gets training on the job.
October 7th, 2009 at 11:59 am
Checks and balances. The president signs things, with or without line-items vetoes. Congress purportedly does the work. (otherwise, when Republicans say the Democrats racked up Reagan’s deficits for him, they’d have no excuse…) I mean, deficits aren’t supposed to matter, so Reagan certainly didn’t mind what the Democrats were doing…
Oh dear. I think this is the first time I’m in an inescapable recursive double irony… or total gibber. Or both. Or neither. Oh well, I’m hungry… I’m going to eat a giant pizza and see how soon I can fit into a D-cup, despite not being female…

What shall we do with Laloulu? He/she is here but is not all woman. Madaline is not available. We are contemplating swapping it for fuel when we hit the Aquan Visntes.
