If Congress passes the bailout, what will it mean for the taxpayers?
Posted by michellemoquin on September 29th, 2008
Bush says, “Without this rescue plan, the costs to the American economy could be disastrous,” Isn’t it already? But wait….Remember what AH said? It really isn’t a crisis. If no action was taken would we seize up and spiral into a recession, or is that just the badmin inducing more fear into the minds of the Americans to get their hands on the money? We’ve been informed that it is the latter…that it is all a tactic to scare the masses. Remember what AH said the American people stand to lose? Let me repeat:
1. His bank account.
2. His mutual fund or money market account;
3. His 401K or other retirement investment;
4. His ability to borrow money;
5.His employment because his employer can’t borrow money. That’s it folks. That’s all the risk the average person has in this pot.
And AH gave several solutions to the average person’s loss to protect yourself them from losing in those 5 areas above. So it’s really not as bad as they want us to believe. But of course they have to make us think that we are in a crisis so they can move forward with the bailout.
“If we do not do this, the trauma, the chaos and the disruption to everyday Americans’ lives will be overwhelming, and that’s a price we can’t afford to risk paying,” Sen. Judd Gregg, the chief Senate Republican in the talks, told The Associated Press.
Again, more scare tactics. Hello! Wake up…American lives are already disrupted; they are already traumatized by the one fact that they are standing to lose their home if they haven’t already? It can’t get much worse for many? Again, look at the above list. Believe me, if this didn’t happen to the Wall Streeters, and it was business as usual, all of the Americans who are loosing their homes and needing to be bailed out would not be given a second thought. We’d be hearing the same same that they touted before the fall, ‘You should’ve been more responsible. You shouldn’t have tried to purchase a mortgage that you knew you couldn’t afford.’
Forget the fact that they knew you couldn’t afford it, but gave it to you anyway and could care less whether you were able to ever make the payments. Forget the fact that they knew these low interest rates would eventually lead to this. Forget that there was lack of regulatory enforcement of any laws. The Federal Reserve was warned about the effects of lack of regulation several times over the last expansion. So you might as well forget too that In 2001, a senior Treasury official, Sheila C. Bair, tried to persuade subprime lenders to adopt a code of ‘best practices’ and to let outside monitors verify their compliance. Guess what? None of the lenders would agree to the monitors, and not surprisingly…many rejected the code itself. Even those who did adopt those practices, Ms. Bair recalled recently, soon let them slip.
It was all about greed. These people saw it coming but all they wanted to see was all of the money they were making at the expense of the American home buyers. Household debt exploded. It increased from $7.6 trillion in 2001 to $14 trillion in the second quarter of this year. That’s a huge increase. And..most of it was mortgage debt, which increased from $5.3 trillion to $10.6 trillion over the same time period. All of that debt had to go somewhere — namely the balance sheet of every financial company on the planet.
So…If Congress passes the bailout, what will it mean for the tax payers?
“This isn’t about a bailout of Wall Street, it’s a buy-in, so that we can turn our economy around,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. But will it? I’m not sure that I buy that statement. I mean our government will be the ones who take over these huge devalued assets….our government..you know the ones that are screwing us right this moment. I don’t trust our current badmin. I don’t trust that they will act in the best interest of the people and our economic state. They haven’t in the past, why would they now?
So this is part of the proposed plan:
Let Bush only have half and they’ll make him jump through hoops before using it all. Yeah okay. Since when does Bush jump through hoops? We know he doesn’t follow the rules. He does what he wants to do. (Or what God tells him to.) And after the initial $250 billion all he has to do is certify that another $100 billion is necessary, which we know he will come up with something to deem it necessary. Any bets on how long that will take? And the $350 billion balance? Sure, he needs a separate certification subject to a congressional resolution of disapproval, but that’s easily resolved: Bush can veto the resolution. I’m sure his plans are to have it all in his greedy little hands asap, and this piece-mealing is just a bunch of BS to make us look like they have a plan and that they are really concerned about using it wisely. Uh huh.
Okay so what else is proposed in this plan?
- ‘The rescue would only be open to companies who deny their executives “golden parachutes” and limit their pay packages. Firms that got the most help through the program _ $300 million or more _ would face steep taxes on any compensation for their top people over $500,000.’
- ‘The government would receive stock warrants in return for the bailout relief, giving taxpayers a chance to share in recipients’ future profits.’
But this is what really caught my eye:
- ‘To help struggling homeowners, the plan would require the government to try renegotiating the bad mortgages it acquires with the aim of lowering borrowers’ monthly payments so they can keep their homes.’
Okay the word to focus on here is the word ‘try’. Our government is going to be in control of these loans and they are going to ‘try’ renegotiating the bad loans so that homeowners can keep their homes. I don’t know about you, but our administration has been fucking us for the last 8 years and quite frankly they are the last people on earth I would trust to ‘try’ and save my home. How about just making a commitment and doing it – there is no try, just do it. They are not innocent in this mess. It was their greed in the first place that got our economy in the state that it is in. They know how to bulk up their own pockets by using what ever means necessary. How about doing whatever is necesssary to help the home owners? My bottom line: Fix it.
Their bottom line: Our governement wants to rescue the super rich from falling flat on their asses. Our government is scrambling to resolve this issue – where was the scrambling when the average american was falling on his ass? Oh…but the super rich are much more important than the average American. ‘These corps are the livelihood of our economy, they must be rescued!’ – yeah more like their BFF’s at the old boys club.
I know this plan is probably going to pass but I still say, ‘Screw them, let the wall fall.’ The $700 billion is going to effect us big time no matter who is in the White House. Oh and the super rich? It’ll just be more money in their pockets and they’ll continue to do what they do best – fleece the stupid Americans over and over again.

Hi Mischa, I like the bail out I posted on my site, when you do the math on this $700+ bill bail out we can all score. Don’t I wish…
I’m bummed about Ziggy the digger dog, he used to bury cell phones, pens, cameras, I thought he was a black ops canine in training, I’m available after 3PM today, do want to talk to you anyway…about several things…
Just posted this on yesterdays entry:
Anonz, don’t go getting tweaked at me, no need for that, babes. I didn’t set any bar for you to meet MY expectations, I have none when it comes to this exchange. I know you or I can simply disappear here on this blog anytime. I simply think that while giving out all this incredible info that’s important for us all to know, well my sweet pea, you could use a titch more empathy in your approach/choice of words.
I’m not amongst the truly fleeced but life’s gotten expensive and yes I am looking for several work/biz ways to fill in those financial gaps. I get a morning stock report and yes it’s an excellent time to buy lots of stock – I cannot do anything but look and buy an insignificant amount, that doesn’t mean I’m not glad for you that you can snap it up, I’ve said before I don’t begrudge you your bills, power, etc, why should you give it up?
So callous was the wrong word, sorry…empathy babe empathy, that I know you’re capable of expressing and that is not a lofty or overly noble expectation. That’s only asking that hyou consider the sitch of your audience when choosing your words. Enough said, be as you are, you’ll still be the sweet pea.

I just went back and reread this.
You tell it, Mischa, with all your bitch badinage, I’ve got nothing to add, you’ve covered it nicely.
Let the F’in wall fall!!
Most ‘stupid’ Americans are already screwed – what’s to fear but fear itself?

LIVE A LONG LIFE, EVEN WITH CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIA
Does your heart occasionally flutter or skip a beat? Does it pound unusually fast or unusually slow? If so, you may have a cardiac arrhythmia, an irregular or abnormal heartbeat that indicates a malfunction in the heart’s electrical system. An arrhythmia may be no big deal — causing no symptoms, sometimes, and presenting no underlying damage or disease — or it could be a very big deal indeed, possibly leading to stroke or sudden cardiac death.
This, in fact, is what happened to political commentator Tim Russert in June. His death is believed to be the result of an arrhythmia caused by the rupture of plaque in his arteries. Especially in this election year, Russert was such a familiar face in American homes that many felt his loss personally — and also worried that they, too, might be vulnerable to such a fate. So it seemed a good time to share with you a bit more about heart arrhythmias, including an exploration of natural options for controlling this common problem. I spoke with two experts — cardiologist Jennifer E. Cummings, MD, director of electrophysiology research at the Cleveland Clinic and Michael Traub, ND, a naturopathic physician in Hawaii and former president of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Both emphasized that anyone who experiences a cardiac arrhythmia should call their doctor and schedule an evaluation.
AT THE HEART OF THE MATTER
The causes for arrhythmia can range from important to insignificant. Cardiac arrhythmia may be triggered by serious, underlying heart disease… more controllable factors such as stress… medications… caffeine… or it may simply be a normal variant that will cause no symptoms or health problems and requires no treatment or lifestyle adjustment. The only way to find out is to work with your cardiologist and undergo medical tests.
Diagnostic tests for heart arrhythmia include a Holter monitor (where your heartbeat is measured over the course of the day as you go about your normal activities), an electrocardiogram (EKG), echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), stress test (a test that measures arrhythmias that are brought on by exercise or stress) or cardiac catheterization (threading a tube into the heart to visualize vessels). There are several distinct kinds of arrhythmia — all potentially dangerous:
• Atrial fibrillaton, a fast and irregular heartbeat that is associated with stroke and heart failure. This is the most common arrhythmia in people over 60.?
• Bradycardia, an abnormally slow rhythm that can cause fainting spells and, though only rarely, death.?
• Tachycardia, an abnormally fast heart rate that can also cause sudden death.
MAINSTREAM MEDICAL TREATMENTS
Mainstream medical treatments for arrhythmia include drugs, pacemakers and other interventions, surgical or non-surgical. According to Dr. Cummings, the treatment recommendation takes into consideration both the type of arrhythmia and the overall health of the patient. An electrophysiologist (a cardiologist who specializes in treating arrhythmia) can be helpful in exploring the pros and cons of the various treatment alternatives.
Here are some of the most common treatment options…
Antiarrhythmic drugs. Pharmaceutical drugs may be prescribed to block electrical impulses causing the arrhythmia. These work well but the dosage must be carefully monitored and controlled, since paradoxically this class of drugs has also shown an association with an increased risk for a different type of arrhythmia.
Anticoagulant or anti-platelet therapy. Blood-thinning drugs — primarily warfarin or aspirin — may be prescribed to prevent blood clots in people with atrial fibrillation or those at risk for stroke. But, notes Dr. Cummings, aspirin is not for everyone and these treatments are not interchangeable.
Calcium channel blockers and beta blockers. These drugs are prescribed to treat certain abnormal heart rhythms.
Pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) devices. If non-invasive treatment alternatives aren’t effective or appropriate, your doctor may advise implantation of a pacemaker (to regulate the heart beat) and/or an ICD (to deliver a shock when the rhythm is disrupted, in the hope this will reset the heart to beat more regularly). Typically, slow heart rhythms are treated with pacemakers, while rapid, high-risk ventricular heart rhythms are treated with ICDs.
Radio frequency ablation. A thin, flexible tube called an ablation catheter is threaded into the heart. Pulses of energy get sent through the catheter to the heart, locating and destroying small areas of tissue that are causing the arrhythmias. A similar treatment called cardiac catheter cryoablation accomplishes the same goal, using cold temperatures rather than heat.
THE NATURAL PATH TO CONTROLLING ARRHYTHMIA
Many people may be unaware of simpler tools like lifestyle change, dietary adjustments and natural supplements that may be effective for the treatment of arrhythmias. Dr. Traub told me that in his experience, naturopathic medicine can often be practiced in tandem with conventional medicine to bring an abnormal heartbeat under control.
The first thing to consider is whether making lifestyle changes or successfully controlling underlying conditions can make a difference. For example…
• If you smoke, stop… but (especially if you are a long-timer) seek medical oversight, as your nicotine may need to be tapered. ?
• Stimulants. If caffeine triggers symptoms, cut back on or eliminate products such as coffee, caffeinated soft drinks, tea, chocolate and anything that contains caffeine. You may need to ease back rather than stop suddenly. ?
• Over-the-counter cough medicines with pseudo-epinephrine should be avoided, as this is a stimulant that can trigger arrhythmias. ?
• Limit alcohol intake. ?
• If you notice that abnormal heart rhythms are associated with specific activities (such as certain stressful family gatherings or particularly demanding exercises), avoid them… at least until you have figured out a way to tolerate such events without having an intense physiological reaction to them. Discuss this with your doctor. ?
• If a medication appears to bring on symptoms, ask your physician if it is possible to prescribe an alternate drug. ?
• Take steps to effectively manage stress. There are hundreds of ways to do this — yoga, meditation, exercise, getting a pet, changing jobs. Examine what is contributing stress to your life, and see what can help you better manage or even change it.
NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS FOR TREATING ARRHYTHMIA
Of course, lifestyle changes alone are not always sufficient to control arrhythmias. In more serious cases, Dr. Traub prescribes…
• Fish oil. This rich source of omega-3 fatty acids is step one of Dr. Traub’s treatment protocol. Fish oil is a natural anticoagulant that reduces the risk of blood clots, which can be associated with arrhythmias. Caution: Fish oil should be taken with caution — and only under your physician’s careful supervision — particularly if you take blood-thinning drugs such as warfarin (Coumadin) or aspirin. ?
• Nattokinase. This extract of the Japanese fermented soybean product natto inhibits development of blood clots. Use with caution — and under a doctor’s supervision — if you take other blood thinners.?
• Magnesium and potassium. Magnesium and potassium deficiencies may lead to a higher risk of arrhythmias. If blood tests confirm a deficiency, your doctor may prescribe supplements to help restore normal blood levels and reduce arrhythmia risk or occurrence. ?
• Other supplements. Additional supplements that have shown promise but require further research include Allium cepa and Allium sativum (onion and garlic), Atropa belladonna, Cinnamomum camphora, Cordyceps sinensis and Crataegus oxyacantha. Dr. Traub also points out that acetyl-L-carnitine is used in Europe to treat cardiac arrhythmias. ?
Cardiac arrhythmia is common — but that doesn’t mean it is safe to ignore it. If you experience even one episode of arrhythmia, call your doctor. You may find that it is nothing at all… or you may learn what you need to do to save your life.

Hi Michelle, My comments have been few and far between on your blog lately, but I feel I must comment to Anonz (sweat pea) on his comment found on Sept 28 blog #11.
Anonz: You seem to have a very short memory for such a powerful and wealthy man. you probably believe that the medical help given to you was owed to you by the powers that be because you are such a wealthy man and everyone owes you — you believe that you live on a higher plane than every one else.
I would like to let you know that a Human life span is presently around 75 years. At that time you will die. You cannot pay the Devil off. He owes you nothing. You will owe him your Soul.
You will not be able to take it with you when you pass. No megalomaniac ever has. You have a deficit in Spirituality.
You have a way of insulting the average Human — the majority of this World. The only thing your vast fortune will purchase is a very pretty coffin and burial plot when the time comes.
I do not know you but your comments portray you as a narcissistic man in love with his vast fortune as well as the ability to get more. I abhor your ego and need to let you know this.

Michelle,
I so agree with the word “try”. The next property we purchase we will put into the contract that we will “try to pay for it”. There will be a balance, and a date to which we are supposed to pay each month, and a date that those payment will begin. We will write in the contract that we will “try to make that payment.” Since there has now been a precident set it just might work!
Anonz,
It is quite true that “It is so easy to give up something you don’t have.” So, lets’ start to work with what we do have and make this more fair. Perhaps, rather than having this type of complex tax structure, we should have a straight across the board tax on income. That is fair, everybody gives up the same! Everybody gives up the same of what they have…Let’s set that at 20%. So, for those people that this situation is fleecing who live within a $40K income, as an example, would pay $8K in taxes. That leaves them with $32K to survive on. Then, the rich, you know those that make, oh, $5M a year as an example, would pay a whopping $1M in taxes. Wow, then they would have to survive on the paltry $4M that is left. Then of course the top of the ladder, you know those guys, that currently pay the most taxes by volume of dollars at this time, let’s say someone who makes $1B would have to pay the huge amount of $200M. Wow, that is a huge amount…but it is all relative and fair…this would leave them with only $800M left to survive on. This way it is all fair, and no one is giving up something that they don’t have. I’ve been for this for years! Seems simple enough to me. Seems fair…
Your statement that ” You don’t have billions nor the power that goes with having it.” is also true. But, then you have absolutely no idea what it is like to not have that, and to literally struggle to eat or have a roof over your head, as a way of life. You come from money, as you had said, so that concept is absolutely foreign to you, just as having billions is foreign to me. I too have seen man in all of his weakness. I have helped some of those in all of their weakness, and housed them and gave them work, etc. I have seen the bottom and it is not a good place to be. Many of these people to whom I refer to are not there by choice. I have seen someone at the end of the line without a parachute. I have also seen the courage that it took for that person to rise above and beat the devil.
You say that “They all have a price. Those that are willing to die for country or some religious belief have been bought by some ones ideology, so they too have a price.” “Only those willing to sacrifice all for another without regard to whether or not they will be remembered as heroes or receive their reward from some god who is observing their noble sacrifice have no price.” Amen, I agree with that. Some people do that and that is their life. Some people do that and then get back in their game for a while. Then, again, will fleece or whatever it is that they do, before they feel they must go out and sacrifice again for the balance. Perhaps it is the process of repentance and the hope of god’s acceptance for the pains endured or given…
You said that, “Frankly I owe nothing to those who by their own greed, racism, indifference or religious intolerance daily inflict incredible hardships on those around them. They deserve fleecing.” This I also agree, however, there are millions and millions of people that are being affected by this game being played that should not be a part it. The pawns of the table…this is where I have a problem. I am not against people making money, hell, it is something we all try to do as it is the way of the world. I also know and understand that you are good at what it is you do, but, then the people you are also “fleecing”, the 80 year old lady that was conned into refinancing her home and now has lost it due to the subprime lending cons that were out there can suck it up.
I agree that it is good to diminish the power that these people have to use against those less fortunate. But, this process is taking the less fortunate down as well, so that math doesn’t equate. I know that you will continue to fleece those in power. In your world this is the survival of the fittest. It does have a value that will be able to be calculated as to the saving to the less fortunate. But, a relative value is not a part of your life. Relative is my first paragraph.
You said, “If you feel the need to help them, by all means do. Just don’t volunteer my money or life.” I think you know me better than that. I simply want to be discussing the same people on the same topic. You are talking about taking some of the money and power away from those who would be doing the fleecing if you weren’t. I’m talking about the people being fleeced. These people have no spokes person for them, no rules on their side that assists them. The 80 year, democrat, old ladies that have been taken and there is absolutely no bailout plan for them…
Your paragraph that reads, “The republican party is a tool to make its leaders super rich not the greedy, racist, religiously fanatic members. They are but our private sheep. I repeat they deserve fleecing. These are insensitive hypocrites who will force a woman to have a baby and then call it socialism if the government that has forced her to have the baby is asked to now help that baby get medical assistance.” My problem with that is there are many who do not fit into this category and will be part of this fleecing, as I have stated. There are hard working people that are not the hypocrites and want to help people in need, and live out a simple life. Those that believe that some truly need assistance at times, and as human to human deserve the respect to receive assistance to help them through their situation. These people will also have serious circumstances to deal with due to the fleecing of the fucked.
Regarding the an old proverb that says give a man a fish, he eats for one day, teach him how to fish and he can feed himself; What I am asking you is, is there not a means with all of your power and money to find a new process to help people fish so that they can feed themselves. Simply fleecing and stealing everyone’s fish, because if you don’t someone else will, does nothing to that proverb. No one is learning how to fish in any of this…
I know your billions are valuable to you, just as my home is to me. I have shared my home, I have shared my time, I have employed the needy to try to teach them and help them to learn to fish. I have given the dollar or a sandwich to someone on the street. We know your work in Darfur, as well, and I’m sure there are many other things in your life you have done to help the less fortunate. That is not all of what I am discussing.
You and I also know that regardless of the work done or involvement into community service one has the time to discuss these issues. When it is important one finds the time to try to find the answers to society’s ills. But, I am quite fed up with things, that’s true…So, if it sounded like a lecture, I do apologize, it is simply that you are the only sounding board that is there at this time.
I guess you don’t have to be concerned about the sheep below you. I just don’t come across too many people in my life that are quite that way. I find it intriguing and amazing. I guess I see the world from a substantially different perspective that you do, which goes without saying. I am guessing that neither one of us will ever truly know the others perspective. It cannot be done. We can only attempt to see it through dialogue.
You say, “We who play hard, play hard.” There is a part that the sheep being fleeced that say “we who live hard, live hard.” I am simply trying to find life’s balance in this, and every day it gets farther and farther away…
I did not say that simply due to having knowledge the world would be better. That is a powerful ingredient, but not the whole mix. That is why I am for Obama, and work for his cause, as I feel it is the right time and he can effect change. I also know that everyone has a price, that is what sets the human apart from other specie, is that specific threshold. Obama will be tested, and I am sure that you will do some of the testing. But, testing and judging and sentencing through your money and power is the same as what you are trying to find in others…
This fleecing, we will soon find, will diminish the Medicare, and Social Security programs for over 70 Million A mericans and the future generations. The $40Trillion that never gets appropriate attention or discussion or solution since it does not effect Wall Street…
I do look forward to more dialogue with you and I will try to refrain from having you feel judged or lectured. I simply had a momentary lapse…my apologies on that.

Howie
I have to answer to my own conscious. Money is the fuel that drives the events of this world. I believe that if anyone should have control of this tool it should be me. I don’t trust anyone else to my fate or the fate of those that I care about.
I treasure life as much as anyone else, but it is not the determinant that affects my every day decisions. As for my concern about my soul, I lost it in Dafur a long while ago in the eyes of an innocent child named Nia. When those that you wish me to have sympathy for contributed to her cruel departure from this earth, my soul left with her. I hope it will keep her company where ever her dear soul resides.
Her last words to me were merci, merci. I need never to be thanked for anything I do again. I have been thanked for something I could not do. I was unable with all this wealth that you pretend to hate so much to prevent her suffering or her painful death.
I may not be able to “pay the Devil off,” but I will most certainly be able to pay back those who by their greed, racism, and apathy to those less fortunate caused little Nia her life.
PAY BACK IS INDEED A BITCH!
All these preppies are losing is money. What they forgot or didn’t learn is that there is a limited supply of resources. If one controls most of the resources of the world, the governments will be reduced to printing more money to provide access to those resources. So i will sell the world less of my resources for more of their paper.
My resources are real usable commodities. These governments are asking me to part with them for their paper promises to give me equal value for them. Why should I give them away so the preppie can feel better about his/her attempt to benefit at the expense of others.
I did not polarize the income classes. The middle class became so insensitive to the lower class that it supported politicians that promised them benefits at the expense of the poor. No money for health care, education, welfare. Just more for them. Government was to move aside and allow the markets to function to make them rich.
No great scam works without great greed on the marks part. In this scam there was plenty of greed to go around. It’s not over yet. There is more wailing and weeping to come. This economy was bloated with fat cats at the top not unlike the Nia’s bloated tummy for lack of food.
America’s middle class who were so happy to give more to the wealthy in the hopes that they would be rewarded with jobs and opportunities to join that class. Unfortunately greed breeds greed so those at the top continued to expand the polarization until the middle class was reduced to borrowing from credit cards and their mortgages to continue their accustomed life styles.
The rich at the top had plenty of disposable money so they loaned some of it to the middle class at uncontrolled rates. After all, it was those preppies that elected the politicians that allowed the credit card companies that the rich owned to write the regulations that governed how much they could charge the borrowers with no or very little government oversights under their mantra “free markets.”
The rich forgot that among them were the super rich that could now no longer fleece the middle class because to them there was very little difference between the “middle class” and the poor. The super rich began to look around for schemes to take from the simply rich.
All kinds of schemes arose to offer the simply rich opportunities to make money off the greed of the middle class. They bit and got bit. Now they are asking the broke middle class to bail them out. Imagine the gaul, they are asking the middle class to bail them out for gambling on a scheme to rip them off.
Why are you angry with me? I am not the one asking for the bail out. It is the marks that bit on my scam that is asking for this bail out. The middle class really has nothing to lose. Did you not read Michelle’s commentary above?
But the politicians elected by the greedy, racist, etc. etc. middle who were so willing to sell out to them at the expense of the poor are even more willing to sell out to the rich at their expense. Now who should you really be mad at?
Just be patient when this washes out you will be no worse off than you were, I will just own more of you. I will remember to treat you fairly so as to not lose the soul I have already given away. Oops, that means I will have no detriments to my actions, I have already parted with my soul.
Rather than rave at me, I suggest that you whatever you can to take back your government. Get involved in your electoral process. Start telling everyone to take their cell phones to the polls and record how they voted.
This will help when the “Bradley Effect” is used to try to explain how the exit polls surveys were so different from the actual voting tally. Take your cell phones so that you can record the irregularities that occur at the polling place you are voting at so as to verify the claims of those that will be disenfranchised by those who will prevent them from voting.
Do you think it is an accident that it is mostly southern states that have already had their votes counted. I guess it is my fault that the hicks have already made up their minds before they have heard the candidates debate the issues.
These are the bigots, fanatics, stupid shits that you are asking me to have compassion for. If it were a true free society they would have long since lost control of this society. They can afford to remain ignorant, racist, xenophobic, and religiously fanatic because they benefit from government sponsored affirmative action. The system coddles them because they are white. Unfortunately we whites turn on our own when the other prey has been exhausted.
It seems it is now a case of they didn’t make a fuss when we were devouring their OTW neighbors, and now their is no one to make a fuss when they become the meal. Relax this will not take as long as you think, nor be as painful.
Less you think that we will be asked to answer to the law, consider the supposed investigation going on concerning the firing of those lawyers by the new bush attorney general. Here’s how it will play out. As usual we will toss a few bones to the naive. But overall the investigation will not find a sweeping conspiracy (conspiracy theorist are just nuts) to break the law. Justice will be done and we will continue business as usual. This will be repeated in all areas where a possible chance of jail time may arise for our actions.
I am not in love with my vast fortune. It will not bring Nia back. But it will enable me to punish those responsible for her agony and short life. Your hatred of my “ego” maybe a veiled envy of the life style you envision I am capable of living because of the efforts I made in competition to earn this “vast fortune.” There are many like you who profess the same hatred of me, while plunking down hundreds of dollars for one of my classes on how to amass similar fortunes.
It is all relevant to ones prospective.

I see what you meant when you told Howie it wasn’t over yet. The republicans who were up for reelection did not vote for the bill. You rich cats did not want the government to lower the mortgage rates for the beleaguered middle class. And you did not want the regulations that were added to the package.
How about those republicans, enriching their pockets. 67% of the republicans voted against a bill requested by their party. That shows that you guys own the republicans.
I know that you billionaires can afford to dry up the credit flow so as to clean out even more millionaires who felt good about fucking the middle class who felt good about fucking the poor.
But I am inclined to favor Doug on this one. How much money do you intend to make at whose expense? I am a bit more savvy on the economic matters than Doug so I know that this means that you are taking money from all over the world. It appears that your list of real resources have no territorial boundaries.
Are so sure that the people’s representatives in those other countries are just as corrupt as they are here? You billionaires have the money to spare to help this situation. If you are truly for Obama, then you are aware that it was he who forced the Congressmen to accept the conditions that favor the middle class. Oh sorry I asked that. Let a proud student of yours answer that.
Bloggers reading this look at the pictures you see of the republicans that come before the camera smiling. They to a man are young smiling white men. A perfect picture of the status quo crying a failure of leadership on Nancy Pelosi and her attitude.
This was not a failure of leadership by Nancy Pelosi. She delivered two thirds of the vote if it was a democratic bill then it could have been considered a failure on her part if she had not gathered more votes. But on this bill the agreement was that it would be bipartisan. Therefore the republicans were supposed to deliver their votes.
Their excuse Nancy Pelosi offended them. What happened to “Country First?” I get it your goal was two fold. One to show that the republicans are still for sell. Second to dry up credit for the middle class so that they will beg their representatives to sign the bill. All the while raking in more real commodities for pennies on the dollar.
Anonz you are my god.
Bob
PS: Nora O’Donnel doesn’t understand how Congress works. She doesn’t get the meaning of “the Whip.” MSNBC needs someone who understands the nature of the situation so she can question people like morning Joe when they make statements that are obviously partisan and misleading.

Finally some solution that can be built upon. A decision made can allow people to plan accordingly. It certainly may not be what some would have wanted, but a decision just the same. I just wanted some action taken, but I am glad to see that the bailout has failed. This gives the new Obama administration an opportunity to fund programs and create jobs from the bottom up rather this administrations attempt to Reagan shit out from the top down. We have already experienced this kind of economics and it fails the general public.
Trickle up with a $700B boost should allow some breathing room for the less fortunate. If this same amount of money were to be distributed to every American evenly given we have approx. 310 Million people, but lets say about 200M adults. This stipend to be refund or distributed to the people would amount to $3500 for each person (if my math is correct). This could become a great stimulous package.
Once people see the benefits to this action, it will take time, but it will be better in the long run. The corporations will fall or write down their losses, and revamp their infrastructure to compete in this new “enlightened” economy.
As for the Anonzes, I am sure there was a plan for success either way things fell for them. The shorting of various currencies due to the fallout, the stock buys at fire sale pricing, and long on gold, and once the foreclosures fall into their places an opportunity to buy those at the best pricing in decades…

Anonz, you could perhaps pray for the soul of little Nia and all of the other little Nia’s still out there, and there are many – giving away your personal soul when one little Nia dies is akin to giving away your bills, babe, don;t you see that? We all require our heart AND soul for the duration or why would life be worth living? And how do you go about assisting other little Nia’s without it?? How do you continue to care about anything or anyone without it?
For you, I think ‘soul’ is even a more crucial element to possess, you have just begun to get in touch with your heart (in revealing yorself no matter how good/bad it may sound and I do admire that even if it’s a tough read at times). We have all loved and lost people, I know I have, but it’s what you do and how you handle life matters afterwards that counts. Honor the little girl, pray for her, and remember her…
Just my opinion for what it’s worth, The Lady Lilly
Howie, welcome back : ) nice to see your name here again. I know your Al-ectomied but could you tell him I say hello?

Without regulation the markets become competing bastions of unbridled greed. With regulation the world gets protection for the consumer and an even playing field with set rules for companies to operate within.
This is what you taught us Anonz before you disappeared for years. Now we discover that you became a soldier of fortune or a paladin only to return warped by the ordeal.
The discovery of this blog is wild to say the least. When will you return to your students? The world can not appreciate your unique style. We love and miss

CRANBERRIES KEEP BACTERIA FROM DIGGING IN
Many women drink cranberry juice to prevent and treat the painful symptoms associated with urinary tract infections (UTIs)… and now a review of research from the Cochrane Collaboration adds more evidence that this does, indeed, work. Researchers analyzed the results of several studies that compared cranberry products with a placebo, juice or water and found that cranberries can prevent recurrent UTIs in women, reducing the annual incidence of UTIs by 39%, compared with those who didn’t drink it.
It’s important to realize, however, that cranberry products don’t treat urinary tract infection and also that not all cranberry products work equally well. The sweetened “cranberry cocktail” that is most readily available on the supermarket shelves may, in fact, make matters worse for some women. Here’s what you need to know…
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Ruth Jepson, PhD, a senior research fellow in the department of nursing and midwifery at the University of Stirling in Scotland and a coauthor of The Cochrane Collaboration study, told me that cranberries seem to prevent bacteria, particularly E. coli, from sticking to the uroepithelial cells that line the wall of the bladder. “Without adhesion, E. coli cannot infect the mucosal surface of the urinary tract,” she said. While adult men also get UTIs, they are about 50 times more common in adult women. “This may be because women have a shorter urethra that allows bacteria to ascend more easily into the bladder,” said Dr. Jepson.
NOT SO SWEET
OK, so cranberries are good, but the number one source of cranberry consumption for most people is sugar-laden cranberry juice cocktail. Is it as effective as the unsweetened kind? That question hasn’t yet been answered, Dr. Jepson told me, noting that some studies used this kind of juice, but with a minimum concentration of 30% cranberries.
For more insight into how women can use cranberry to prevent UTIs, I turned to one of our resident gurus, naturopathic physician Mark Stengler, ND. He told me that one problem with the cranberry cocktail beverages is their sugar content, which can exacerbate vaginal infections if yeast is present… the other issue is that these concoctions may not have much cranberry. “If the cranberry content is diluted, women may not get enough of the proanthocyanidins, which is the compound believed to have the preventive effect,” he explained. Dr. Stengler’s advice: Buy unsweetened “straight” cranberry juice. He suggests that women with a history or susceptibility to UTIs try drinking four ounces of unsweetened cranberry juice diluted in water twice daily, before or with meals. After several months go by in which you haven’t had a UTI, he says you might try reducing intake to two ounces twice daily.
WHAT ELSE HELPS?
Are cranberry capsules effective for women who do not like the taste or cannot tolerate cranberry juice? Dr. Stengler says they work for some, citing a study that found that “daily treatment with an encapsulated cranberry concentrate (400 mg twice per day) for three months significantly reduced the recurrence of urinary tract infections compared with women taking a placebo.” However, Dr. Jepson noted that there isn’t a consistent research finding, since products vary. A physician trained in natural medicine can provide guidance as to what products and dosages would work for you.

L’etudiante:
Do you not remember that the Professor taught us to understand the full implications of ideals? You forgot that he finished your quote – “With regulation the world gets protection for the consumer and an even playing field with set rules for companies to operate within.” with the caveat: “Unless the government provides enough dedicated and capable personnel to police and enforce those set of rules the markets will still become competing bastions of unbridled greed.” Leave it to a woman to half quote a man.
Le Professor, when you left, your personal adventures may have been as a paladin but, your financial adventures were most certainly as a soldier of fortune. And what a fortune it is! Most of us have amassed considerable fortunes of our own as a result of your very much appreciated tutelage. And we are taking profits in this delightful set of events. These are, as L’etudiante would say, “giddy times.”
I have been reading this blog. If half the stuff they say happened to you, did, it is incredible. An anatomy examination is definitely in order. As for your facial dilemma, we can arrange a discrete operation and see to your identity problems. Please come home.
