Pakistan Advisory Body Suggests Men ‘Lightly Beat’ Wives Who Refuse Sex
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — A powerful constitutional body in Pakistan proposed legislation last week that would allow husbands to “lightly beat” their wives who decline sex or refuse to wear what their mates prefer.
The Council of Islamic Ideology says it has to finalize the 160-page draft before it is sent to lawmakers in the Punjab province, the country’s most populated region, for approval.
As well as beatings for wives who decline to have sex with their husbands, the document also advocates men use “limited violence” on spouses who do not bathe after intercourse or during menstruation.

The council — known as CII — went so far as to provide guidelines on how to inflict the beatings.
“Hit her in areas where her skin is not too thick and not too thin,” CII leader Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani told a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday. “Do not use shoes or a broom on the head, or hit her on the nose or eyes.”
“Do not break any bones or cut her skin or leave any marks,” he added. “Do not hit her vindictively, but only for reminding her about her religious duties.”
The CII cannot make laws itself but gives suggestions to Pakistan’s government and parliament.
Already, the proposal has sparked outrage inside the country.
“This is unbelievable,” said Allama Tahir Ashrafi, a former member of the CII who resigned for what he called religious regions. “So, what is ‘light beating’ and ‘limited violence’? Not chopping off their heads but only, say, burning them in oil?”
Ashrafi is now leader of the 110,000-member Pakistani Religious Scholars Council, a group of mullahs who debate Islam and preach.
He told NBC News the CII was subverting the very religion it claimed to uphold: “Violence is forbidden by Islam, period.”
He said the council should be speaking “about rape, about the increasing divorce rate, about suicide bombing — but they avoid these issues.”

Others have questioned the practicality of the proposals.
“Will the Maulana [religious scholar] observe every beating himself, personally?” said Rana Sanaullah, the Punjab province law minister, in another press conference in Lahore. “How will he ensure that ‘light beating’ doesn’t become ‘heavy beating’.”
The draft bill has a step-by-step guide on how to administer these beatings. If a wife disobeys her husband, according to the document, the husband should try to talk to her. If that doesn’t work, he should sleep separately and only finally use violence as a last resort.
The CII suggests that any man who doesn’t follow that process should be prosecuted.
Pakistan was the first Islamic country to elect a woman to high office, with Benazir Bhutto serving as prime minister in the 80s and 90s before her assassination in 2007. However it consistently ranks as one of the world’s worst countries for female employment and education.
More than 1,000 “honor killings” were carried out in Pakistan last year, a practice where women are murdered by their own relatives if they are seen as bringing “dishonor” on their families.
The CII’s proposal was in response to an unconventionally liberal move by Pakistan’s Punjab province, which pushed for a progressive gender-equality law called the Protection of Women Against Violence Act. The act sought to give women more rights, including fitting violent husbands with electronic tracking bracelets.
Rejecting that bill as “un-Islamic,” the CII proposed its own document instead. The CII’s draft bill has to be finalized by the council before it is sent to the provincial legislature for approval.
In addition to the beatings, it also seeks to ban women from several aspects of society.
Female co-eds? Nope, not after primary school. Women joining combat squads in the armed forces? That would be out too — a far more conservative approach than the country’s air force, which has started training women to be fighter pilots.
Women also would be barred for nursing male patients in hospital unless it is their husband, son, brother or father.
The proposal does make some paltry concessions for the female population. It says they should be allowed to inherit property and given protection from being kicked out of their houses if their husband dies without a will. Women should not be subjected to forced marriage, acid attacks or honor killings, the draft also states.
Still, the list of punishable offenses goes on. The draft said beatings also should be administered to any woman who does not wear a hijab, gives money to other people without her husband’s permission, and talks loudly so the neighbors can hear.
Women would also be forced to breastfeed their kids for two years and banned from using contraception without their husband’s permission.
“Disgusting,” human-rights lawyer Asma Jahangir said in an interview with Pakistani television this week. “But we shouldn’t be worried. The women of Pakistan know how to protect themselves.”

Readers: Notice how religion once again is so hypocritical? On the one hand (the one that’s not doing the beating), ”Violence is forbidden by Islam, period.” And on the other, (the one that is doing the beating), “Hit her in areas where her skin is not too thick and not too thin,” “Do not break any bones or cut her skin or leave any marks.” Wha’at? How hypocritical can you be?
And how about that “step by step guide?” Not only is it shocking to know that there is a “guide” on how to “administer beatings,” but that any man would actually follow the “guide” in fear of being prosecuted should he not, is a sick joke. You can bet if this BS bill passes, they’ll skip the “talk” and go straight into “limited violence” (Whatever the fuck that means to whoever the fuck is raising the hand), because they can.
I mean really, how do you police something like that? The answer is ” You don’t – They have no intention in policing anything.” It’s just a BS bill for men to be able to do what they want to their women and have legal means to get away with it. Any council that drafts a bill that allows men to rape and beat their wives because of so-called “religious duties” is not concerned at all about the health and well-being of any woman.
This is one sick country using religion as a license to rape and beat their women as they see fit. Period.

I know this is off topic but, there is a new effort being launched by the super rich to subliminally influence the citizens of the United States and the world that white power in America has been very much underrated.
The Times is leading the way to convince the US populace that it should still fear the will of white America. Get ready of a series of articles that will claim that the white vote makes up greater that the 72% reported. The object is to show the power of the white vote so they will be making claims that Obama would not have won if a significant number of white votes hadn’t deserted McCain and Romney.
These articles boldly state that if whites had not stayed at home or defected to Obama, both candidates would have won handily.
The implications being that Trump doesn’t have to care what he says about or to the OTWs in America since the white vote alone can put him over the top as long as they support him in sufficient numbers.

what about the farce called ‘marriage’ these women are subjected to?
It’s NOT marriage it’s involuntary servitude and sexual slavery,
it’s neither a mutual understanding of love or convenience of family asset management,

My kids bestie is a Pakistani girl, they’re both proud feminists, I’m proud of them both.

8 Bushra, I know how awful that is, I have an Egyptian friend who lives in fear of being found, she ran from the country to flee her hubby who beat her regukarly. The family disowned her and she would be an honor killing as well if they can find her and I just pray they never do.

Islam is accepted in the modern world all over the planet because those men who practice it have OIL. That is how allah is truly spelt by westerners. This talk of respecting a “religion” they know is an evil cult designed to keep women as sexual slaves is just a western man’s way of looking the other way at this evil while he does business with the enslavers for their OIL.
This article Michelle as boldly presented, clearly shows that islam is a cult designed to control females with terror in the name of a religion. For if their god allah says it is alright to beat us, then who has the right to question their god, allah, that is the claim these evil men are making and daring the rest of the world to object to under penalty of a fatwā of violence issued against them.
Of course islamic men will fight and die to keep the right to own women, just as America’s confederate fought and died to keep the right to own slaves. That does not mean it is a religion, just as it does not make any claim America’s southerns make that it was about “independence and self determination” true. Neither does the fact that over a billion people “worship” islam. At least half of those do it without their consent because they are captives of that cult. The other half are the captors.
Of course your pope would accept this abomination as a legitimate religion. It has only been a short time since catholicism has been forced to withdraw their doctrine which allowed their male worshipers to own their women. That doctrine still lingers as men under the pretext of being “devout” continue to attempt to use their “scripture’s” proclamations to control the bodies of western women.
So what does it boil down to? Alycedale, and you Michelle speak the truth when you say “men.” All over the world men use religion to force women into situations they could not do with logic.
So, yes, Zen Lill#7, marriage is but the telling to other men. “I have branded this cattle and it is mine.” If you trespass I have a legal means of suing you. We as females are but cattle to muslim men to be herded on their ranch called “family.” until we are selected out to be sold as sexual pleasures to the buyer.
The rest of the world accepts these “marriages” as binding legal contracts giving the owners the right to do as they see fit with that cattle. American white men are all too familiar with this type of ownership of human beings. They enjoyed the same recognition of the right to own another human being for centuries and continued it after the “emancipation” of those human being for another 2 and a half centuries. Your very election today is mostly the white males in your country refusing to give up their privileged status obtained from their illegal slavery of OTWs, and the use of “religion” to regulate the actions and control the bodies of their females.
We study and learn about the dangers of accepting your SCOTUS as a body independent of cultural and economic influence when it rules. Your 7-2, Dred Scott decision in 1857 which held that a slave did not become free when taken into a free state is not unlike saying a woman does not become free of the slavery of islam when she is taken into America.
Both decisions rest on the incredibly disgusting position that slavery of another human being is not the issue. The only issue was then and is now is whether that enslaved human being could assert his/her freedom in a state/country that did not accept the disgusting position.
So the western world does not consider the incredibly disgusting position that slavery of females is up for discussion by this “religion,” only whether that slave should be beaten when a mufti asserts under islamic law that she can. Incredibly disgusting!
Thank you Michelle for exposing this cult for what it is. Islamic men will declare that you are blaspheming a “religion” of a billion people. Please do not waver. Enslavers declaring a right because they have forced at least half of their constituency to be a part of it under penalty of death if they leave it or speak negatively of it, is without merit.
For certain if the penalty of death was lifted islam would be a cult of only men. It would go the way of your catholicism. Something else would be formed. Today women would be free to accept islam without the constrictions for females. Many of your offshoots of catholicism practice christianity that does not make a female the sexual slave of men.
There is NO redeeming value of islam as long as it is used to be vehicle for the enslavement and control of females under the pretext allah said so. No God would enslave half its people under the other half. That is just BS which benefits the lust of men.

“Religious Duties,” just another male using religion to control a female’s body. Like the anti-abortion laws in this country, men use religion as an excuse to pass body-controlling laws for females.
The main difference is that some women in this country willingly accept the man’s bullshit religious premise. I suspect if they told those women that god said that men should have the right to beat them, they would accept that too.

The present situation on Guam where the archbishop has declared an attack upon him for being a pedophile is an attack upon the church is similar to muslim men declaring an attack upon them using islam to enslave and practice pedophilia among its female constituency is an attack upon the religion itself.
I say to those men if you are so sure about the merits of islam, then remove your threat of death to those who wish to leave it, or critique it. Surely if allah is as great as you say he is, he will not be hurt by a little criticism or a few non believers leaving his cult.

There is actually no way a muslim can justify his cult as a viable religion comparable to any religion in which its members can come and go without the threat of death being imposed for doing so.
The fact that it is a billion plus large is only unimportant because it shows that it is a cult. The mere fact that it is JUST a billion plus should be one fact that it is a cult considering that those that leave it are killed and those that critique it negatively are killed, it should be at least 2 billion strong.
Unless those that can leave it or not become a part of it in the first place choose to do so. The operative word here is “choose.” Since one born into that cult can’t get out under penalty of death. The size of the cult cannot help but grow. So any spurious claims of legitimacy based on the number of members it has is not only meaningless, but ludicrous.
If something, smells like a cult, operates like a cult, it is a cult. All the acceptance by the world’s “authorities” on religion not withstanding, IT IS A CULT. Interestingly, the part of the world accepting islam as a mainstream religion is made up of men. That makes sense as they are the only ones benefiting from the constrictions and controls the cult places upon its female members.
Really big of the men on of the world to set aside islam’s abuse of its female members, to see a bigger picture of the “good” it does for mankind. In this case they do mean “man’s kind” only.

IMHO religion is a manufactured process to control human behavior. Spirituality comes with the body. What one does with it, how they direct the energy, says a lot about their personal development.
